iPad does not sync mail with macbook pro

Why doesn't my iPad sync mail with my macbook pro? After I delete mail on my macbook the mail I deleted is still on my iPad?

The funny thing is it sync's perfectly with my iPhone

OK, thanks.

Your iPhone probably has it setup as IMAP. POP will not "update" the server like IMP does.

If you have a Time Machine or other backup on your Mac, you could try removing the account and setting it up as IMAP.

Do you have a lot of emails stored in folders on your Mac?
