After my iPad Pro is closed down or put to sleep it sometimes 1)refuses to return to normal, 2) returns screen in enormous size, 3) displays “ipad is disabled, try again in one minute”.

When 1) appears the screen is filled with misty images. Using two fingers it is possible to move the misty shapes about. After the on/off button is depressed, a huge, blurred “slide to turn off” can be found. This works.

When 3) appears it first says to try again in 1 minute, it then says to try in 5 minutes, it then says to try in 1 hour. I have always managed to return the screen to normal after a night’s rest. (iPad and me) !

Hello and welcome.

-Which version of iOS?
-Do you have Touch ID and Passcode enabled?

-It sounds like the Home/Touch ID button may be dirty or not functioning properly. You could try a hard reset:

Let us know how that goes,
