iPad Pro

I’ve tried to get rid of some photos but I get to some date (July 2017) and I cannot delete photos beyond that date. I’m only offered the option of saving them into another folder. I have an iPhone, an IPad Pro, and a 27” iMac. They are all on iCloud. I would appreciate help.
