Ipad as drawing tablet question HELP

Hello.

I have an ipad and was wondering if I could connect it to some drawing application on macbook to digitally color and ink images uploaded into said application.
This is the closest I will get to an actual tablet for a while and I desperately need to do work on my sketches for a project coming up.
I don't need pressure sensitivity or anything fancy, i just want to to ink and color.
