I am trying to install osx on a 2010 MacBook Pro. I've tried lion, leopard, el capitan and maybe more.
I have tried recovery - recovery didn't work at all. Couldn't get as far as utility. White screen.
I have tried internet recovery - seems to download fine but hangs before getting to disk utility. White screen again.
I have tried from usb recovery. Can't get as far as disk utility. White screen yet again.

You would think this is a hardware problem.

I've tried with different ram and hard drive. Same results.

This is the crazy bit. I can boot into Linux and Windows discs fine. I've even installed them without issues.

The only is I can't get working on the Mac is osx.

Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi,

You say this is a 2010 MacBook Pro, So I'm sure that it shipped with Snow Leopard not Leopard or any other. Therefor you need the two install disks.
