Hello, have just purchased a Mac Notebook, embarrasingly I haven't even managed to get past the start up. When it asks which wireless network I want to use, I don't know! It doesn't give me a list of options just a space to write in a name. If I select that my computer does not have internet I'm worried I may never be able to use a wireless connection. Would very much appreciate any help. Daze (technalogically challenged!)

just choose this computer has no connection at the moment
you can always ALWAYS add a connection or alter your options later on
as far as i know a macbook has airport extreme standard build in but you need an airport station to actually use it

bluekatts quite correct ! You Mac has Airport Extreme built in but you need a wireless base station to use it, or pop to your local Starbucks ;-)
