I am using a 2018 iMac with 8GB of memory, running Monterey 12.0.1 OS.
I used to have my frequently used files and a few docs arranged across the top of my screen, and I could move them around and relocate them anywhere on the desktop. The other day, my mouse strayed briefly into some area of my app display (which runs down the left side of my screen), and all my files and docs suddenly grouped themselves in a block down the right side of my screen. They are in alphabetical order and locked tight -- I can click and drag them, but they pop right back in to their alphabetical spot.
While this is not a big problem, I don't like the set up and its rigidity bugs the hell out of me! Any ideas on what I did and how to fix it would be much appreciated.
