Hi, I'm getting unwanted apps opening at startup. I duly followed the help instructions: opened preferences, admin account, clicked login items. Two items showed up which AREN'T opening on login: Safari and Mac Clean up Pro. The ones which ARE opening on login are: Mail, Activity Monitor and Adobe Acrobat Reader (not a Mac app). I think there might be one more I can't recall. Can someone help?

Recent upgraded to Mojave 10.14.6. thanks, Scott

Hello,

If they are not listed in Login Items, then check the dialog you get when you go to restart or shut down - it should say Reopen windows when logging back in. If it is checked, uncheck it and see if that resolves it.
