Transferring to new Mac

I don't want to use migrate as I want to limit what I am transferring. I can't figure out how to transfer my iMovie files to my new computer. I am using Airdrop for other files.

We're going to need a bit more information from you:
-Models of both Macs?
-Version of Mac OS X on both?
-Version of iMovie on both?
-Size in GBs of Movies folder on older Mac?
-Do you have a current Time Machine or other backup of your data?
-Do you have an external hard drive to use to perform the transfer?
-Did you already setup and create your user on the new Mac?
