Safari Freezes on My iPad 2 and iMac

On my iPad 2 and iMac Safari freezes. I'll be looking at a page and then suddenly everything freezes and shuts down. The background screen on my iPad comes into view, but it's blurred. On my iMac I get the spinning ball.

I've had this problem for awhile and thought iOS updates would solve it. Nothing has. The same with my iMac. I hoped that El Capitan would fix it.

On my iMac I removed all of the bookmarks and reading list except for a few of them on each. And still the program crashes.

On my iPad it's more than annoying because I cannot get online without it.

I opted to use FireFox instead because of the problems.

I don't have a problem with Safari on my iPhone though.

I've got 8 GB of RAM on my iMac. My iPad 2 isn't filled with apps so there plenty of room for the app to function.

Have you considered resetting your router? Try unplugging it for 30 seconds or so.

I've done that for other reasons and nothing has changed the problem.

Have tried running Onyx? It's a great piece of software that will correct many issues and its free, download here
http://www.titanium.free.fr/onyx.html. make sure you download the appopriate version.
