How do I disable Google Chrome helper in my Imac

How do I disable Google Chrome helper I have tried lots of things but nothing works has anybody else had a problem with it and sorted it out? I have several of them open at the same time, I have tried to close them on the activity monitor with no luck ....I have done the settings bit no joy I need help guys, please.

Hello,

If you have Google applications installed, it is best not to disable the Google Helper processes, as the software may not function or update properly without it. It is completely normal to have multiple Google Chrome Helper processes running when using Google Chrome. I currently just opened Chrome with a single webpage loaded, and there are 11 Google Helper processes running.

Is there a specific error you are experiencing, or reason you want to disable it, outside of the explanation above?
