On my M1 iMac, when I open Finder and select my iPad or my iPhone, one of these or the other (and occasionally both), is constantly calculating space. If I shut down all three devices and restart, which device is shown as calculating will often switch. All of my OS's are current. Both devices are plugged into my iMac. Both devices have lots of free space.

Is this an M1 issue? A Big Sur issue?

Hi,

-Where are you seeing that it is calculating space?
-Are you connecting them directly to the iMac or through a hub?
-Does it only happen when more than one iOS device is connected?

I don't connect my iOS devices to my M1 mini very often, but I just connected my iPhone 6s and it comes right up.

I've switched between connecting directly and using a hub (but also told them to use wi-fi). I couldn't find that it made any difference whether I had one or two devices connected.

For a week now, my devices have connected correctly and I have no idea why. I've had connection issues off and on for years, with different generations of phones, pads, and macs.
