Let's say I am in the finder, in the folder. I have many files in this folder.
Let's say I want to find the file which's name starts from C (Car_picture).
In Windows, I can just press C and it will select all the files with the names that start on this letter. One after another.
But I completely do not understand how does it work on mac. I precc C (or any other letter) and it selects me only one or two of files, but does not go through all of them.
It even selects the files that do not start on this letter at all.
Could you please explain this logic? it's killing me!

I even made the video for you to understand.
I created the test folder with different folder names to illustrate it.

This logic makes impossible to find something when there are lots of files in the folder.

Hello and welcome,

It does the same on my Mac. It seems to select the first file/folder alphabetically on the first press of w (i.e. Walking) and then the last alphabetically (Work) and skips over those in-between. Try typing we, instead of w more than onc,e and it should highlight the Webdesign folder.
