Trying to download some video footage from my new Sony Handycam (HDD DCR-SR45) to my Mac without much luck. The software sony provided for the handycam only works with windows which has left me trying to work out how to download from first principals.
I have been able to connect my usb cable and find the relevant files through Finder. When I double click on the files i want to view, a pop up box appears with the following message "The Movie could not be opened: The file is not a movie file".
Can anyone please help me here? I am a new Mac user so your help would be much appreciated.
BTW, the files are listed as MPG's files.
