Connect output from reel to reel to 2020 iMac

Trying to digitize reel to reel tapes of a deceased friend talking and singing. Problem is how to cable from two rca audio output plugs to a usb so I can connect to the digitizing software on the iMac. Anyone know what to do? Thanking you in advance for advice.

You probably need a DAC (digital to analog converter). I never tried it on reel-to-reel to digital audio conversion, but with converting audio from VHS tapes alongside the video. Still very much alive on the ’net. Just google it. If your sole need is to convert audio, a very basic unit will probably suffice.
