Warranty and external ssd

does anyone have info on apples extended warrant with regards to using external hard drives......... apple not repairing imac and must go to a court situation ...... am concerned that apple can refuse to honor warranty due to the use of an external ssd ......franchise apple using very young techs that have obtained an online certificate and do the minimum while drawing profits on sales, this is apple india and their business model gambit so i need to know if im solid ground..........thanks

Hello,

It doesn't void Apple's warranty to use external drives. The only issue would be if the ports were physically damaged on the iMac. Of course, Apple doesn't cover third-party peripherals with AppleCare.
