Using VPN on Macbooks with Intel CPU

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a VPN for my iPhone and was hoping to use it on my Intel-based Macbook. However, it seems that the VPN only supports iOS devices and Macbooks with M1 CPUs. I've also tried some free VPNs like VPNGate, but they too are limited to M1 CPUs.

I'm reaching out to see if anyone has any suggestions or workarounds to enable VPN usage on Intel-based Macbooks. I would greatly appreciate any insights or recommendations you can provide!

Using NordVPN on my 2019 Intel MacBook Pro and have zero issues. I can’t speak to free VPNs.

For your Intel-based Macbook, there are a number of VPNs that should work just fine. As @maw_walker mentioned, NordVPN is a great option. Others I've used personally on my own Intel Mac include ExpressVPN and CyberGhost.

Just a little tip: While free VPNs can be tempting, they sometimes have restrictions or potential security issues. It's usually better to invest in a reputable paid service.
