I installed a 1T Samsung SSD in Jan'20, that's been working very smoothly, quickly...
But lately MBA has been slowing down at startup (takes a while after password entered), and atb shut down (takes a while to shut down...

I checked disk utility, and noticed there were multiple entries for the same stick of SSD.
I tried removing the extra 2, but not sure how. Can anyone help??

Hello and welcome.

Depending on your version of macOS, you don't want to remove those. You may be seeing the APFS virtual volumes/containers. In Disk Utility, you can toggle the view of the SSD to Show Only Volumes or Show All Devices, by clicking the View button.

Feel free to upload a screen shot, and we'd be happy to review.

When using Disk Utility, I do a disk 'First Aid' on all three, starting from the top, so I personally would not hide any volume.
