[SOLVED] Why can't I upload a video to Facebook?

No matter what, FB won't let me upload a video. Either it won't upload at all or just hangs while my "video is being encoded".

I have an older iMac, PowerPC, ver. 10.4.11.

Any suggestions, tips, etc, greatly appreciated.

And sorry if this has been asked a zillion times before, but I'm new and couldn't find this subject in my searches.
