Whenever I try to open a WMV file I get "Mac OS error -50" and "could not open with the installed version of Quicktime". Please somebody help.

Re: Mac OS error -50

Hi Walrus666,
Thank you for directing me to the right spot.
The problem was that during my recent Flip 4 Mac update there was some corruption (or maybe upgrade requirement), as a result QuickTime Player was disabled.
I updated again and Mac returned to its usual calmness & dependability.
Thanks again for your help.

Thanks to both of you. Sounds encouraging. Should I trash all the Flip4mac icons I see in my application folder and then go to versiontracker for the upgrade? It sounds like maybe I know what to do, but please believe me, I scared to do things for fear it might be the wrong thing to do.

Flip4Mac icons? Do you mean WMV Player.app icons? If so, yes you can trash those. However, I'm surprised that you have more than one icon. When you update Flip4Mac, the new version replaces the old version.
