Software update.

Hi All,
I've just bought a secondhand MacBook Pro 2007. The previous owner sold the machine with a clean install of OS X 10.5.8. I've done a software update several times but the QuickTime Player stays at version 7.2.1. I'm pretty certain this should update and when I try to go to iTunes I'm told that I need QuickTime 7.5.5. Is there any reason why this software is not updating?

Here is version 7.7 for OS X Leopard Intel/PPC, Mac OS X 10.5 - 10.5.8.

Not sure why you are not gaining the updates.
