Safari unresponsive

Safari has stopped working on my mac, I have tried restating the computer and re installing safari, I also make sure I have the latest updates. The problem is that no websites will load on it, the load bar gets about a quarter of the way across and then just stops, firefox runs on here without a problem.. Any ideas?
