Safari jumps to Top Sites page mid-viewing

I'm trying to stream a video and Safari keeps randomly interrupting my video to take me to the Top Sites page. I haven't clicked on anything. Before, it was bringing up the Vox page in the Mac Store and then quickly flashing to the top sites pages. I've reset my Safari and restarted my computer. Not sure what's causing this....any ideas/thoughts? Thanks!
