Rainbow on my screen

Hey Guys!

I have a macbook pro mid 2009 model, and im very happy for it!, once you go mac you never go back

But my macbook did this one day, made a big rainbow over the screen, it just came from one minute to another in the school, while i was out of course, it looks like the black plastic cover under the screen is broken, but i can´t se any damages to the hardware in there.

So do any of you know what´s wrong?, and what to replace?, i would like to do it myself, it´s to expensive in the apple stores.

If you didn't extended AppleCare its probably going to be expensive. I couldn't recommend trying to fix this yourself, taking these things apart and trouble shooting the problem is a nightmare. Its also best to have the special tools and a completely dust free location. No user serviceable parts inside.

I'd take it to an AppleCare Service Centre near you.
