Pages 5 spell-check

In Pages 5 (version 5.6) the red line that appears under a presumably mis-spelled word no longer goes away when I choose "learn spelling". I can live with this if I must, but if anyone knows why this is and how to correct the problem, it would be nice have that line disappear. Thanks!

Hello and welcome.

I get the same thing - red line stays. Not sure what changed. However, if you learn the spelling, then save/close the document and re-open it, the red line is gone.
