Pages 3.0.3 Files won't open

Several files that were imported from my G4 computer (OS 10.4.) to my Laptop (OS10.7.5) several years ago and filed as Pages documents will not open. The message, "The document xyz couldn't be opened." When I check All My Files, the icons for each of these files is greyed out.

When I check INFO for each of these files it shows the file sizes, so I assume the data is still on the hard drive. Is there a procedure for opening these files?

Hello and welcome.

This was a known issues a while back. The fix was to open them in Pages 4.x (iWork '09) and then save them. I believe that is the only workaround.

Which OS X and version of Pages are you running now?
