Since installing Catalina on my iMac it behaves very weird. When idle for some hours many things change. Like it won't bring a window to Front when clicking the top bar. Also no drop down menues on the top applications bar. Also Google Chrome start opening new tabs instead of refreshing when navigating. After a restart everything is back to normal.Have tried in System preferencies but to no avail.

Problem solved by simply doing a new installation with High Sierra instead.Unfortunately I can't use anything from the backups on Time Capsule but have everything also on a LaCie external so have recovered most.Catalina won't enter my computers until I read Apple has solved all issues.
