Hi everybody,

I think I am not the only one getting this issue after upgrading to iOS 13.
I am not getting notifications from applications, like WhatsApp, Viber and outlook, until I open the application.
I have restarted the iPhone, rested the network settings but still same issue.

iPhone 11 : iOS 13.5.1

Best regards

OK, thanks.

Next thing to check would be Settings > Notifications for those apps.

Hello,

Notifications enabled in iOS and the apps.
I will try to reset notifications on the apps, or uninstall the applications and install them again.

Hmmm...

I added Outlook to my iPhone running iOS 13.5.1. I don't see it listed in Notifications. I enabled notifications for a few other third-party apps as well.

I will test it out and let you know.

Hello,

Many thanks. Really strange, I have tested almost everything. May be issue compatibility with iOS version and these apps?

How come apple did not notice that? if it was only one application not compatible, it is still ok, but not all third party apps?

Apple wouldn't necessarily notice or test that, since it is on third-party developers to make their code iOS-compatible. There isn't any way for Apple to test the millions of third-party apps in the App Store.

However, if there are a lot of reports of an issue, Apple may then test it out and look for a bug fix.

I agree.
So now, so far, there is no solution right? it's really disturbing.

Thanks and regards

No worries.

Today, it seems that the notifications may be working in iOS 13.6. I am getting badges on the Gmail app now. Outlook may be working, but intermittent. I don;t use the other apps you llisted.

We'll see how it goes.

Hello,

I have updated to 13.6, same issue. As you said, notifications work intermittently. But when they call me on WhatsApp or vider, it's doesn't ring. The iPhone must be unlocked to get the call. No notifications from other third party apps, mostly outlook for me.
Unfortunately, no progress.

Thanks and regards

Update

Outlook and Gmail are now showing notifications pretty regularly, albeit with a slight delay. I have been testing it on and off since yesterday.

Hang in there ;)
