My macbook pro died. NEED HELP!!!

My grandmother upgraded to the 17in macbook pro and i got her old 15in macbook pro.


I had a friend update it with OSx 10.4.11

annnnnnnnnnnnddddddddddd

now it wont start up.

when i press the power button it goes to the first grey screen with the apple and the little spinny loading thing.

no matter how long i wait or how many tiimes i try it wont go further than that.

What can i do?

besides have the urge to kill the friend who had me convinced he knew what he was doing.

If you have the OS install disk put it in the disk drive and try to restart holding down the c key. From there I think you can select to reinstall your OS

I have the disc, but i had my protools disc in the drive when it pooped out
and i cant eject it

Hold the mouse button down on start up and it should eject

Is there something wrong with the 4.11 update I and Nicholassss also have this problem.
