Monitor suitable for 2017 MacBook Pro?

I am new to this forum but would like to get advice from members who are using an external monitor with your MacBook Pro 2017? I only want to spend in the region of £400 for a new monitor that will give me more working space and would like to have at least the same definition of my laptop and would like the monitor to be about 22”. Any recommendations please with the current USB C connections?

I second that enquiry [for my 2016 MBP, touch-bar]. Need some suggestions in time for Christmas.
Most models I have looked at are 23 or 27 Inch. What about curved screen?
