Making a Sony Handycam work with my Mac!

Guys after reading your responses as I have just purchased a MacBook pro and a Sony dcr-sr68 camcorder, I realized why it wasn't recognizing my cam- I didnt have the cam connected to the charger as well as the computer. If you switch your camera to manual settings, connect via USB AND plug in the ac power, iMovie recognizes your device and you can capture the footage with sound and all. Hope this advice helps whoever else has the same problems with a Sony.

I am so frustrated , i finaly switched over to using an apple Macbook pro and i do love it but some things i just cant get figured out . I have a sony handy cam i can not get it to go into my apple, i cant figure out how to install the PBM software for Mac either , i am just fed up now.
