I'm having a problem with Macmail, in that I can receive but not send e-mails. I've been through all the usual procedures, like deleting and re-entering the smtp address in Keychain, and also re-entering all the account info in the mail preferences window. However, as soon as I've done that, gone back to check the smtp address it changes back to "Offline" within about 2 seconds !
I have Outlook, which I'm using, and that works fine, and has the same account settings and password as Mac mail, so is there something amiss with that programme ?
I'm using Mac mail version 6.6 on an iMac with OSX 10.8.5. Any help would be gratefully received !
