MacMail with OS 11.0.3 I’ve been “blessed” with a total mail dump from my isp mail server, Hughes.net. That means about 6000 items pouring into my iPhone and MacBook Pro. The Pro can take it since I’ve got a terabyte of memory and the delete function for Mail on the laptop is efficient. BUT how do I perform an efficient deletion of thousands of mail items on the iPhone mail app. So far all I can discover is “edit” then 1 by 1 selection of items, then “delete “. This would take a whole lot of time and patience. Any shortcuts to perform a mass delete on iPhone?

Hello,

-What was the reason for the "total mail dump"?
-Are all of these emails in the inbox?
-Is your account setup as POP or IMAP on the Mac and the iPhone?
-If you delete an email on the Mac, does it disappear from the iPhone after a mail refresh?

Sounds like you should go through them and delete them using the MBP, as that is a much easier method that using the iPhone.
