Sister in law updated her Pro yesterday. Had BIG problems getting iCloud to go away so she could get to Facebook.

Had to gin up new password for Apple ID.

Now, after restarting the Pro, she cannot even get to home page because "The system was unable to unlock your login keychain." She doesn't want anything to do with keychain or icloud.

How can she get around this roadblock?

Hello and welcome.

-Which version of OS X?
-Does she have an iCloud account?
-Was it signed in previously?
- > System Preferences... > Users & Groups > her user > Password > Allow user to reset password using Apple ID - is that checked?
-Does she use her Apple ID to login to the MBP?
-You have to use Keychain in OS X - it is where website logins, passwords, Wi-Fi logins, etc. are stored.
-You can totally sign out of iCloud, but you will lose the ability to sync things such as calendars, contacts, notes, etc.
