My M1 iMac's finder used to see my iPhone & iPad sitting on its charger about half of the time. I used to have some difficulties dragging files across, but lately, finder *never* sees these devices via WiFi.

I plugged them into the iMac and verified that "Show this iPad when on WiFi" is checked. I verified that everything is on the same network. All of their operating systems are current. Universal Control works with my iPad not being plugged in, so my iMac sees my iPad, but Finder doesn't (when not plugged in).

Any idea what I'm missing?

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.

I haven't used that function before. I just enabled it on my M1 mini running macOS 12.6 Monterey and my iPhone 6s running iOS 15.7 and it shows when connected via a USB cable, but not when both are on the same Wi-Fi network. I haven't been able to gt he iPhone to appear in Locations when on Wi-Fi.

Will keep trying and let you know if I find anything.
