Mac book pro & Sky Go Download player

I am unable to retain programs I have downloaded onto Sky go download player. The programs download fine, I can watch them, but if i close Sky Go Download player down and re open, then the program has disappeared. I have been on to Sky Tech team several times and they concluded the issue is with the Mac Book pro and not Sky Go Download player. This has been dragging on for several months now and is so frustrating any ideas or help greatly appreciated.

-Which version of OS X?
-Which version of the Sky Go Download Player?
-Which version of Silverlight?
-Have you tried it on an iOS or Google Play Android device?

I see that this has been a semi-common issue in the past. There are several reports of it on the Internet, especially with MacBook Pros.
