Lost document

Not saved! Shows in recent. Not trashed. Cannot find it anywhere including icloud

Hello,

If it opens from Recent Items, open it and the do a Save As to the Desktop.

You can also try:

• In a Finder window, click View > Show Path Bar
• Search in Spotlight
• Scroll to the end of the results window
• Click Search in Finder
• Find the document and click once to select
• View the path to where the file is located in the bottom of the window

Click on Recent items, nothing happens.
Re Finder window, Show Path Bar is greyed out. Not sure how to activate it.

Hi,

If it doesn't open from Recent Items, it has either been moved or deleted.

You have to open a Finder window (not when viewing the Desktop) to enable the path bar function.
