Dear all,
I got Retina 2017 with latest high sierra os
Suddenly all letters not working it only writes boxed question marks but numbers are working normally. Also if i click or right click on trackpad a menu pops ups. I'm not able to figure out if this is a keyboard fault or a software issue. Please any info to fix it is really appreciated. Thank you

OK, some questions:

1. What Mac OS did you upgrade from?
2. Did you just update "in place", ie, just let the machine do the update?
3. This is critical: are you making backups to an external device? And if you are, what software do you use for that?

It seems like that latest update is what caused the issue. If you have a backup that was made prior to the update, then you should be able to revert back to it. But need to see your answer to the questions above, and especially #3.

Hello and welcome.

It sounds like a font issue to me for the text display issue. The clicking issue could be a few things.

-Was it a High Sierra update that you did, or an upgrade from on older version of macOS?
-Have you checked the Trackpad settings in System Preferences?
