Junk mail filter.

Despite having disabled the junk mail filterer for incoming email much of my incoming email is directed to the Junk inbox,
Anyone have an explanation as to why this is hapening?

Hello,

-Which version of OS X/macOS?
-Which version of the Mail application?
-Who is your email provider?

This can sometimes happen if your email provider marks them as junk.
