This may or may not have anything to do with the Airport Express update, but... When I open iTunes and click on a song, that beachball shows up. Sometimes I wait and finally Force Quit it and start again. The beachball then shows up, but finally goes away. The beachball sometimes shows up when I click on another song. This happens whether or not I try to connect to my Airport Express. Sometimes I don't even turn the AE on. I have rebooted both the iMac and the AE. I'm now wondering if I should delete iTunes preferences (if so, which ones?)

This problem does not happen on my older MBP El Capitan

iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2019) Mojave

Airport Express version 7.8.1

iTunes Version 12.9.5.5

Hello,

I doubt it is related to the AirPort Express update, especially since it happens when the AirPort Express is powered off.

-How is the AirPort Express used in your network - as an AirPlay destination?
-Maybe the issue has to do with Music syncing?

I wouldn't delete preferences just yet. Maybe try creating another iTunes Library and see if the issue persists.
