SOLVED Cannot sign into iTunes

Since the last update to Mojave 10.14.6 I have to been able to sign in to iTunes or access the iTunes store on my MacBook Air. My account seems to be operational on my iPhone though. I have done all the recommended actions after searching the problem on the Apple site. any ideas?

It was a virus! Got an antivirus product online and it resolved the issue.
