is it ok to charge battery when half full??

hi .. i was just wondering if it was ok to charge ur ipod particulary an ipod nano battery if it is half full or a quarter full .. will it reduce the life ??

well the theory is straight forward, the answer is yes, it is okay to charge it whether it is half or quarter full...

...however, in practice I have always found that all batteries work better if charged fully then discharged repeat etc.

According to Apple Lithium-ion batteries can be charged whether they are empty or part empty...
