iPhoto query

I have just installed iPhoto and immediately began creating new folders with images sourced from CD's copied from my Olympus software (installed in my PC).

The contents looked superb, and I was suitably impressed with iPhotos software.
My problem is 24 hrs. later, and I have no images within the iPhoto folders.
I have located them in my Pictures folder, but I cannot move them back into iPhoto.
I have tried file>import, and copy>paste ... even dragging them, but the images will not budge.

What am I doing wrong ? I have tried iPhoto's Help menu, but don't seem to be able to find the exact solution.

Any (positive) imput would be gratefully received

Hi Chris,

iPhoto doesn't like it's internal folders messed with...

Can I ask when you say there are no photos in the iPhoto folders...where do you mean ? On the Hard drive or within the iPhoto main window.

Can you provide a Screengrab that may be clearer.

Also what versions of OS and iPhoto have you got.
