IMovie weirdness (screenshot)

Big Sur, but also happened on Catalina. When using iMovie (10.3.4) sometimes it will import items, mostly jpeg, that I didn't select and have *Nothing To Do With* the iMovie project I'm working on. This isn't anything critical, just annoying. I'm curious if anyone else sees this, or knows why it happens. The screen shot shows the totally unrelated jpg that just 'appears' in the import window.

continued - It can also be audio files on occasion, .wavs or mp3, that also have nothing to do with the particular project.
