I cannot connect to websites

Recently I have trouble accessing a few websites. Depending on the browser I use I get pages that say: "Unable to connect", or "This site can’t be reached", or "Can't open the page". Is this a problem that is more prevalent lately? Thank you.

Unfortunately, when I click on the System Spec under your "logo", it says "The following error occurred: This member limits who may view their full profile.". Hence, I need to ask some questions:

1. What exact Mac model do you have?

2. What exact Mac OS are you running?

3. Have you ever done an disk cleanup/maintenance/repairs, from a software perspective? By that I mean have you ever run any disk-related software to help with those tasks? There are some excellent products available (both free and commercial) that can help you with that.

4. This is critical: are you making backups to an external device? If yo are, what software are you using for that?

5. Which browsers have you tried? And are they the latest version?

6. Also, are the sites you are having trouble with the same, no matter which browser you use?

1. MacBook Pro Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013); 2. macOS High Sierra (10.13.3); 3. never done any disk cleanup/maintenance/repairs except with Disk Utility; 4. backing up with Time Machine to Airport Time Capsule;
5. latest versions of Safari, Firefox, and Chrome; 6. sites I am having trouble with will not connect no matter which browser I use.
