Cannot connect Iphone via Bluetooth

Try to pair my Iphone to Macbook Pro via Bloothooth.
It pairs then Immediately disconnects.
to re-try i have to remove the Iphone from Bluetooth devices and it immediately comes back to pair the iphone, connects then disconnects again ad infinitum
