Help Transferring iPod Touch Music to Macbook Air

I want to music from my old iPod Touch on my Macbook Air but when I plug in my iPod Touch I do not get folders. I see it in finder and it shows up in Music app but there is no way to move the songs that are on the iPod to my current mac. iTunes does not let me drag them (within the Music app)
Anyone know how?

Hello,

Due to Apple's DRM (digital rights management) licensing for music, there isn't any built-in way to transfer music from an iPad to a Mac. There are third-party software solutions that work, but none that I have used or can recommend. I am sure a quick Internet search will help.
