Hi,
I have a iBook G4. I use OSX and the laptop is 11 months old.
Prior history: about 6 months ago the screen went black and I was unable to see anything and eventually after restarting it a few times it was ok. Occasionally it does this.
Last night for no reason my iBook G4 quit working. I was in the middle of typing something and it went to a different screen with a box in the center that read
"restart your computer" or to "hit the restart" key.
I had no mouse option so I tried to restart it with the button.
When it does come back I hear a fan running
The screen stays black
Then the screen goes to white as if its going to open up
Then the screen changes from green, to red to white
Then eventually goes back to the "restart your computer" screen
I have tried rebooting with the cd and the screen jumped and flahsed a lot - blinking on and off.
I tried to run a restore but was unable to due to the flashing.
THe hard drive was restored and does not seem to be the problem so Im thinking its the CPU or Motherboard...I have NO CLUE what to do now...
any help would be appreciated!!
