Hello there.

A friend of mine recently borrowed my iBook and installed Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 for me. I decided i no longer wanted this and wished to install tiger again. I found out quickly that the hard drive hadn't been partitioned with extra space and was full of linux bits. I used an older Ubuntu live cd to remove the partitions (one .03 MB piece remaining, format unknown).

I have a feeling this is why when i start my computer with the disk in, (option and c have both been tried) it only shows a flashing folder with a question mark.

Any help would be greatly apreciated,

Hi Kingwilk
I take it that you do not want to keep any files on your macbook. if you insert your Mac OS 10.4 disk and open it then click on the "Install Mac OSX" it should then prompt you to restart you computer. You will then be given options as to what type of install you want to perform.
