Hi, I have a new macbook air. I'm trying to download a torrent app but I can't open anything from the download folder. For example, I downloaded vuze, it is in my downloads as a .dmg file. When I click on it, the pop-up with the vuze installer icon opens. When I click on that, the downloads folder box opens, and so on in a never ending cycle.
I've also tried to download transmission and utorrent, but neither of those work either. I've tried in chrome and in safari. The default for opening it is 'diskimagemounter'. There's another option called 'Disk Utility' but I don't understand that! All the options there are anyway greyed out all the time.
What should I do? I'm not at all tech savvy in any way so need advice for idiots.
